The Royal Knight, also called Knight of the Kingsguard is a powerful melee attacker that can be recruited either when one of the alliance members captured and built a capital or when the player reached the glory title The Conqueror. It is much more powerful than the Veteran Two-Handed Swordsman in its base form, but weaker than the Imperial Guardsman in terms of attack power.
Other than recruiting, this unit can also be acquired by:
- Finishing missions from the mercenary post.
- Finishing (1) quests in the Quest Book, and (2) Event-only quests in The Blade Coast, Underworld, and Thorn King.
- Reaching 1000 might points. (only once)
